Some headsets also have their own switch to turn the microphone on or off.Īs I said: The whole thing is a bit tricky because you can hear private conversations with “interesting” details, because the other player has either not switched off the microphone or is not thinking about it. You either have to do this by pulling the plug or temporarily deactivating the microphone in the Windows settings. Also not entirely uncritical is the fact that your microphone is constantly activated and there is no way to mute yourself in the game itself. For example, there is no text chat that you normally find in multiplayer shooters – understandably that makes little sense on the consoles. You miss a few PC-specific things in the implementation. If you want, you can of course also connect and use a controller. You don’t need more to have everything under control. With the mouse you look around and shoot, with WASD you move and with the number keys one to three directly above you trigger the special ability of each character class. It would have been very surprising, however, if it weren’t for that, because Garden Warfare really doesn’t have the most complicated control layout. The controls have also been easily transferred to the mouse and keyboard. During the normal course of the game, however, there were no such problems. So far I only experienced one or the other crash when I switched to the desktop via “Alt + Tab” and wanted to return to the game. In the matches I played I didn’t experience any lags, “rubber banding” or the like – the problems of a Battlefield 4, which runs on the same engine, are very, very far removed here. Garden Warfare got off to a smooth start on PC as it did on Xbox consoles. This is primarily about the peculiarities and features of the PC version, which on closer inspection does not differ that much from the other versions. In terms of play, there are no differences between the platforms (apart from a time-exclusive map on the PC). Zombies: Garden Warfare should put you off. Zombies: Garden Warfare test of the already available Xbox version, which covers the playful aspects of the title, just like our latest article on the game: Why you don’t think of it the colorful presentation of Plants vs. Well, first of all at this point a reference to our Plants vs. But was the waiting time worth it? And did PopCap use the three months effectively for a good implementation? It took almost three months, but now PopCap’s plants and zombies are fighting each other in Garden Warfare on the PC.
